While in meadowhell i caught sight of a 6 dvd box set of Astérix & Obélix films (not the live action one, the cartoon ones) it immediately brought back memories of my childhood reading the comic books

I had to have the set

am i a big kid or do these films have any artistic value also can you still buy the books?

KJ, last time I went to Meadowhell, I saw a remote control Articulated-Lorry in a toy(really designed for adults to dream they're kids again) shop.

I feel it necessary that I should buy it for my mates youngest. Although it says you have to be 8+ to use it, I'm sure I could 'look after and make sure it's kept in prime condition for the next 6 years' until he's old enough!:hihi:

if the films have meaning and purpose for you and you want them and will watch them then you aren't a kid

Last year I rented the Trumpton/Chigley/Camberwick Green triple DVD boxset from Amazon! How sad is that?! :P

That being said though, those shows were classics back in the day, I loved Chigley when I was 5, and tried to recreate the Biscuit Factory with an old box and some real choccie biccies! :D

I noticed that Thundercats DVDs are now on sale in HMV, so im thinking about buying that, the best kids cartoon while i was growing up! Loved it!

If only they'd bring out season 1 part 2 in the UK, that's the only one I need to complete my set, I refuse to buy it from Playusa.com cos the last twice I've bought Thundercats boxsets from them on import from the US the bloody things have got lost in the post!

Anything else from Playusa.com comes fine, like The Marine last Monday, but anything that has to be shipped from the US, like Thundercats boxsets, it gets lost in the post! Why?! Are teh posties half-inching them?! :loopy:
