View Full Version : Which is better, Aston Martin or Ferrari? longley owl 02-10-2004, 09:42 which one would you like to drive or be seen in? Robbie Loving 02-10-2004, 09:56 i know its backing an italion company, but ferrari cars look so much better *sigh* longley owl 02-10-2004, 10:04 i like to keep it British. i think Astons look as good as Ferraris and have 4 seats. An Aston Martins performance is fabulous considering its weight. http://www.roadfly.org/magazine/galleries/la_auto_show_2004/photos/photos-12-2003/Aston-Martin-DB9-pic-31-1102800.JPG http://www.in.gr/auto/parousiaseis/foto_big/ae_AstonMartin_DB9_08.jpg 0-100= 10.90 sec. 0-60= 4.90 sec. Top Speed= 186.00 mph coopster1974 02-10-2004, 12:31 Gimme an AM Vanquish S AM DB9 AM Virage AM Vantage AM V8 AM DB4GT AM DB5 Anyday over a Ferrari They just oose class and refinement. A distinguised gentlemens car rather than a rich boyracers choice. See the attached for proof http://img83.exs.cx/img83/4305/db7.jpg http://img83.exs.cx/img83/4114/virage.jpg http://img71.exs.cx/img71/1222/db9.jpg http://img71.exs.cx/img71/8761/vanquish.jpg Its my intention, once the kids are less financially dependant on us to live a lifelong dream and purchase a V8. I know it will happen, just a matter of when. Any other fans out there can their hands on a special edition here. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18308&item=2491873537&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW saxon51 02-10-2004, 20:01 I've voted Ferrari although I think Astons are marvellous. Trouble is Astons contain Ford parts (with the exception of the latest one). Ferrari? Pure Italian flair. 360 Modena, 550 Maranello, 456 GT, 365 Daytona, '67 250 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and the crowning glory - 308 GTB. All pure poetry in motion. YEAH!!!!! WallBuilder 02-10-2004, 20:12 Better? From my point of view they're both naff 'thingy' extensions, my idea of a good car is one that can either carry three or four mates in it, or the weeks shopping or for a lot of long suffering males, is it big enough for the pram and baby accesories and then a few years later the dreaded school run. So basically they're as bad as each other. saxon51 02-10-2004, 20:18 Maybe longley owl agrees with you on this, but he wasn't asking 'Which is better, Supercar or Ford Mondeo clone?' Maybe he's single and doesn't NEED to fit prams, shopping etc in his ideal wheels. Come to think of it I prefer the economical, low insurance, easy to park run-of-the-mill car to any super car, but the choice is Ferrari or Aston! neeeeeeeeeek 02-10-2004, 20:20 I had a DB7 for a while, nice but got bored of it... saxon51 02-10-2004, 20:23 ....... and am now seeking psychotherapy ????????? What do you drive now neeeeeeeeeek? Maclaren F1??? 1Man&hisBMW 02-10-2004, 20:35 I think a Maserati would be a nice 'middle ground' between the two, what do you think? :D In any case, I would go with a Mercedes SL55 AMG, or the upcoming CLS. Built solid, with powerful engines, and you can take em to sainsburys :) lovely :P saxon51 02-10-2004, 20:39 Originally posted by 1Man&hisBMW In any case, I would go with a Mercedes SL55 AMG, or the upcoming CLS. I'll be the one in the 308 GTB with the trailer tied to the back and the embarrassed smile. mr craig 03-10-2004, 01:21 AM vantage = the don, if i was to design a car it would look like that. But the Aston Martin is pure class and gets my vote every time! Phanerothyme 03-10-2004, 08:14 Better for what? For actually getting somewhere in speed comfort and style the AMV8 Vantage is hard to beat. matsalleh 03-10-2004, 11:35 I have one of each but use my 12yr old Proton all the time. Seriously I saw a black Ferrari convertible on Bradfield Rd a few weeks ago and it looked absolutely the bee`s knees. saxon51 03-10-2004, 17:54 Ferrari........Bradfield Road.........doesn't sound right, does it!? longley owl 05-10-2004, 21:47 vanquish http://www.quantumsoft.co.uk/files/clipart/jpegs/cars/Aston_Martin_Vanquish.jpg DB7 http://www.montanamotors.com/AstonMartin/images/DB7_LR6.jpg mojoworking 06-10-2004, 23:12 http://www.astonmartins.com/index2.html Check out this collection of Aston Martins Tony 07-10-2004, 06:34 Mod: I've removed the flame war - please don't start it again |
