I thought prison sentences were reserved for vilolent, dangerous or persisent offenders.

In view of the home secretatary saying only send hardened crims to jail it is obvious the judge never took any notice
if ever a large fine was approiate this was the case increased the prison population by two I am sure these two were not dangerous and no fear of them mugging anybody or robbing a bank a complete waste of resources no wonder the prisons are full
while I am it do you realise there are 2000 prisoners in prison who have never committed a crime. well

all them that have been released on licence and been recalled by the probation service for no good reason

Jail the criminal scum. These sentences were a slap in the face of justice.

I think they qualify as persistent. 600 individual criminal incidences. This is just the first time they have been caught.
