Does anyone else suffer with streaming or blocked noses on long flights? I think it might be caused by the recycled air. An impending flight to Australia has reminded me that I always suffer with this which makes the unbearably long journey even more uncomfortable. Does anyone have any suggestions that might help?

Take your own bottled water and drink plenty of it. Don't ever drink alcohol on an aircraft. That will fix the problem.

Anti-histamine?

Id suggest the anti-histamine like benadryl or even claritin. I strongly recomend the benadryl as it can also be used as a sleep aid and help make the time pass on such a long haul flight.

I usually do this but it doesn't seem to help:(

Thanks, I might give this a try then. Although travelling with an 18 month old toddler ... don't think there'll be much chance of sleep!!!

What a fantastic idea! The stupid thing is I've got some Piriton syrup for the little one but it hadn't occured to me to take it myself. Thank you so much.:hihi:

if you do use the benedryl, i suggest taking half of one though as it is less likely to make you drowsy.
