I want to dig a really deep hole on the front lawn. I'm going to hire a mini digger. I just want to. Can anyone stop me? Does anyone want to help?

You don't need to hire a mini digger! There's plenty of peeps on here good at digging holes for themselves, me included! :hihi:

I reckon the council would be a little annoyed at you.
Can I help? I used to love digging holes as a nipper and could do with some hard graft in the garden. Once found half a drain pipe 3 feet down in my friend's mom's garden. Are you hoping to get rich from this, maybe strike oil?

See you under the ground of Siberia, I just started digging from this side with a mini shovel.

Strange as it is, I'm sure someone asked this before :suspect: *goes to look*

You can only get as deep as the digger arm will let you though but good fun. I dug a 2m deep 6m long trench in my garden when I had a digger just for fun.

I'm with Twiglet - but somehow I think it was in 'I'm really bored' so if anybody knows how to search that? :hihi:

I think the upshot of that one was the HSE would have something to say if you didn't drive pile sheeting after the legally required depth

My pup's an excellent digger. Only problem is she knows shes been naughty so walks backwards until shes forgiven.

Maybe she could join team gaping garden hole?

If you dig a hole in spiral fashion with your excavator you may get a hole to rival this one :P

So deep it takes 90 minutes to drive back to the top

That is, indeed, a very big hole.

As for the 'mole man', eccentric as he may be he has made my day with this quote.

"I don't mind the title of inventor," he said. "Inventing things that don't work is a brilliant thing, you know. People are asking you what the big secret is. And you know what? There isn't one."
