Where is Catells?

I want one from now to the end of June (student). I would like at least 32" widescreen preferably with intergrated digital TV.

Found BoxClever which is new name for radio rentals

www.boxclever.co.uk

They say you have to have minimum 18 month contract though!

I had a bit of trouble when I was looking for a rental shop a couple of years ago. I remember when almost every other shop on Fargate was a tv rental place but they'd all shut down and gone online (maybe that's the future for all the mobile phone shops too!).

All the places are pretty expensive and need you to take out massive contracts that make it worth getting a finance deal from one of the big shops as at least you get to keep the telly at the end of all your payments then!

My dad got a cracking deal for his new 28" widescreen telly, dvd & video where he gets 0% for two years and doesn't have to pay anything in the first year. Think it was about £550ish from curry's or comet. Dunno if they're still doing it tho, and this was in Blackburn- yes, he has turned to the dark side... ;)

How do box clever expect to attract customers. A DVD recorder is £21 a month minimum contract of 18 months. That makes £378. Comet have it in stock for £199! I know which I'd rather do.

Visionhire was taken over by Granada which then merged with Radio Rental to become Box Clever.

They have moved their core business away from rentals and concentrate a lot on slot tvs although not go rid of their whole customer base.

And me as well. But some people aint got £200 to lay down and cannot get credit. That is what a lot of the rental market is aimed at these days!

Would still buy the one for £33 from Asda though! Only need a month and half out of it!!

Why bother renting ?

You can buy a brand new TV from Comet for 110 quid - that's cheaper than
the TV licence (£142.50). A Goodmans 15'' HD ready widescreen LCD TV with digital tuner for all Freeview channels can also be used as a PC monitor.
