A friend of mines husband is out there right now, so long as he's still having to contend with ieds, snipers & suicide bombers it certainly isn't 'done' for him, her or their daughter.

You might be bored with it but the lies and half-truths the government told back then are still having repercussions both at a personal and geopolitical level now and it's entirely appropriate that people continue to 'drag it up'.

It's one of the most interesting subjects to be discussed though! otherwise it's boring immigration or taxes or strikes on public services etc.....

Also, I agree with Plekhanov here, whilst the war is still ongoing and the killing of innocent Iraqi's in their own country goes on then it should still be talked about!

The problem with Question Time is that, if you have been following the news on TV & Radio during the week, you can virtually script the show.

You know what the questions are going to be and how most of the contributors will answer.
The only enlightenment is usually from the 'non-politician' on the panel who doesn't have a party-line mantra to stick to.

I like the fact that every week there's token foreign bloke in the audience who asks a question that, due to the language barrier, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

what we should really be talking about is how we're going to rectify the mistakes we've made and why the army should continue under this government which seems hellbent on not supporting it.

the army does a superb job out there given the conditions and they do it with next to no support from the people who sent them. how can we make the armys job easier so we can bring them home sooner to their loved ones. that is worth talking about more than bush did this and blair did that.
