Hi I'm just wondering if anyone would be willing to sit with me for a day with a computer and all my code for my site and rip it to bits. Constructively Obviously. Its my first project and im sure there are going to a lot of things I could have / should have done better. Site will be finished in 2 weeks and I am willing to pay someone to do it for half a day or summat.

A days work from smaller web devs would probably cost about £250 I reckon.
Hi there Liam,
Until recently I was a Technical Architect at a certain Sheffield-based ISP. PHP development was a very big part of what I did there, although lots of unixy/sysadminy stuff as well, and a lot of training. Assuming you're not looking for a designer-type person (I'm not particularly gifted graphically, but I can do a decent job), I'd be very happy to help you whip your site into shape.
I've got lots of training experience as well, having worked for four years as a schoolteacher, and now I teach IT skills evening classes to adults - so if you choose me, you can be confident that you'll learn a lot from the experience as well as get your site finished.
Almost everything I've produced in the last few years belongs to my old employer so I can't point you at a portfolio of sites (and in any case most of it was backend stuff anyway) but I have a book of references I can show you from my old colleagues.
Since I was made redundant just before Christmas I've been considering my options but now I've started my own business (just last week) and I'd be very glad indeed to meet my first customer! I can't afford to work for peanuts, but I'm confident that you'll find a day with me to be really good value.
Give me a ring on 07733 260 206 to talk over what you need,
Best wishes,
Matt Saunders

Hi Matt. Its not the design side that is worrying me. The problem is my code. I know its going to be full of security flaws and also probably alot of potentiol bottle necks etc due to poor structure of code. It is written procedurally as it was started as a project site to learn with but as its grown I now want to release it commercially. I am very interested in talking to you but I have just come off of a night shift and im very tired so probably won't make much sense. I have saved your number and will give you a call most likely over the weekend if that is okay. Money isn't really an issue as long as it isn't ridiculous. My business associates can cover that as I have just spent the last 6 montsh of my life learning PHP and building the site. :hihi: :hihi: Lokk forward to speaking to you soon.
Thanks
Liam O'Neill
That's great Liam, I'll look forward to your call. Sleep well ;)
