Hiya
after reading about how pest/disease resistant these are, I'd love to have a good at growing a few but there's little room left at the lotto and the other half will go spare if I buy anything else :)
Would anyone be willing to swap me 3-5 for any of the following -
Rocket/Picasso/Pink Fir Apple tatties?
I can't think of anything else I've got that you might like that's enticing at the moment

Oooh VickyR, we're growing some this year, so iff successful I'm definitely in for swapsy!
I'm sure we can spare a few, but if not you could always visit them and dig a few up when they're ready :hihi:
I did read that you could plant the ones that you buy from the fruit and veg shops. Don't know if anyone's tried that?
I'm trying these for the first time this year, but only have 6 - will probably have some to share next year.
I've also heard that supermarket JAs grow well.
I have been told by a grower that you have to be really careful if you plant supermarket bought produce, as they can cause disease in other plants and can introduce unwanted chemicals to the soil. Dont know how true this is!

I've got a few in my kitchen (my parents grow their own). They're a bit dehydrated but I'm going to soak them a bit to keep them going. You'd be more than welcome to come claim some for planting? they're delicious little creatures and easy to grow too...
