Ginger_Kitty 22-01-2007, 12:34 Sooooo glad we didn't buy that house  tingle 22-01-2007, 12:38 Aaaah, that's really bad news, it's a nice little area. Feel v sorry for all the people involved, must be devastating to wake up and find your house and all your posessions are ruined. torin8 22-01-2007, 12:51 Flooding has been a regular thing in Stoney Middleton, but I think this one is exceptional and if it is the lagoon then that is a lot of water to come down (and a lot of mud). *Turbo* 22-01-2007, 13:19 Glad i dont work there anymore!!! I'm sure i recognise that taxi..... Guest_225 22-01-2007, 13:53 Just tried to drive through there and the road is closed by the police. Saw Central TV and Hallam FM outside broadcast units there, looks like a major incident. The policeman told us tht a sludge dam had burst it's banks and flooded the whole place with mud. This on the BBC - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/derbyshire/6286823.stm Ally_Fraser 23-01-2007, 07:40 They could have done with a bit of flooding that time the Landlord burned the Royal Oak down for the insurance money!!! cgksheff 23-01-2007, 09:28 http://www.glebemines.com/ |
