Just seen this;

http://www.easyhotel.com/splash.asp?ReferURL=022&gclid=CLvjusvc8okCFTU7MAodMQ7pFg

I think it might be a novelty, change from most hotels, (although i might change my mind if i couldnt swing a cat!) what does eveyone think? Anyone ever stayed in one?

The picture on the homepage with the orange door looks quite quirky. Bargain prices too. Just goes to show going away for a weekend can be done on a buget i suppose!!

Shame they don't call their beds an "easy lay". It's years since I've had one of those........

yep, ive stayed in the earls court one a couple of times.

yes, it is very small, but it is also ridiculously cheap for london. if its just you, itll be cool. if theres 2 of you, it might be a bit more of a squeeze. but, it isnt all orange, the walls are a kind of peachy colour although the bathroom pod is orange.

its 3 mins from gloucester road tube one way or earls court the other way. theres a 24 hour sainsburys just down the road and a whole load of take aways and pubs down earls court road.

personally, i think its a bargain and if i ever needed to stay in london and couldnt stop with friends or family, id definitely use it again.

I stayed in one. Clean and tidy but soooooo small - we had one of the bigger rooms and it was the smallest room I have ever seen! Double bed, about 1 foot of space down one side and about three foot at the end of the bed. Tiny bathroom, no storage space, no hangers, £5 extra a day for TV, no window, one member of pretty unhelpful staff on at a time.

However it was cheap, soundproof and in a very convenient area. Does what it says on the tin.

Don't take the cat though, definately no room to do anything other than polish it.

If you want real photos of it than pm me your no and ill text you some - i had to take some for comedy value as the room was so ridiculously small!

Easyhotel is a good alternative to travelodges £15 and £25 rooms, theres also formula1 hotel on the outskirts of london thats aound £25 and next to a tube stop.

You can get a room in the easy hotel with a window if you prefer they are extreamly small! and the bathroom is also very small you could sit on the toilet and have a shower at the same time!

it is like the saying you gets what you pay for and in the case of easy hotel nobody cannot say they are not good value.
in europe there are 100s of formula 1s and at around 25 euros per night for three people is extremely good

On their web site is says that you have to pay extra for a tv remote control clean towels each day!

That's not unreasonable. You pay extra for the luxury of TV - so what? It's not essential.
Clean towels, to be honest I don't see why you would need cleans ones every day, would you do that at home? They dry quickly cos of the air con.

Besides the fact they don't allow pets you mean? ;)

I stopped in a Formula 1 hotel in Coventry two weeks ago. It was unbelievably basic, with no en-suite bathroom or shower. In fact it was far more like a hall of residence than a hotel. Myself and a friend just wanted somewhere to crash after a night out though, so it was ideal. We paid £26 for a room with a double bed and a single bed above as a bunk.

hell knows what someone would want to stay, in what only can be described as Christa Ackroyds boudoir, is beyond me :D

Just searched for this thread because I am looking at booking one just for the fact I don't want to spend around £100 for an upmarket hotel that I am hardly going to be in.

I just read a review and a tip was to book a 'disabled room' for the extra space. Does anyone think once you go to check in and they realise you are clearly not disabled they have the right to shove you in a normal sized room? Help!

Oh yeah I have seen one of them in Birmingham. Is there any in London off the top of your head? I will look anyway!

Just tell them it's a mental disability and they probably won;t ask too many questions.

Mind you; don't do what I did - I told them I was a schizophrenic and they charged me double!
