You mean this How do I sell my registration?
If you want to sell your registration we suggest you approach a private dealer or advertise the registration for sale yourself. DVLA's sales scheme is confined to selling it's own previously unissued registrations. We do not endorse or recommend any particular individual or company.

Sorry im new to all this :(

the item you require is the exact opposite of buying a number you want to revert I believe that is the case do you live near the dvla office on I believe napier st or summerfield street sheffield 11 if so go in there and you will be told what to do

It depends if you want to keep the personal number Steelcitybab.
When I change my car, I take my number plate with me, so have to get an original number back for the car I'm selling.
Let me know what you're tring to do and I'll try and help.

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/BuyingAndSellingAVehicle/PersonalisedRegAndNumberPlates/DG_4022576

the above link should take you to a page in the DVLA site which explains all about cherished marks. (If I've got it right! )
You will need to transfer the number to another vehicle, or if you do not know what vehicle the number is going onto yet, then you can hold it for 12 months at a time on a retention certificate.
This link should give you the option to order the forms you need from the DVLA.
Included in the transfer pack will be a form that requests the original number for the first car. The DVLA will then send you the number and you have to go get plates made for it.

Hope all that helps, but if not, feel free to PM me and I'll try and help more.:D
