Is there anyone in the Rotherham area who can donate any old but clean blankets, bed sheets or towels for the Rotherham Dog Rescue.
My friends run RDR and I am helping out by collecting blankets etc and I will gladly collect any items from anyone in the Rotherham area.
I appologise for asking for duvets in the original thread, unfortunately duvets and pillows are not suitable.
Please send me a private message if you can help.

Many Thanks.

If you know somebody with a shop or a pub who can act as a drop off point, this may help

Some people aren't keen on internet people coming to their house ;)

Thanks for replying Strix.
It is an idea to try and find a pub or shop to act as a drop off point as you say.
I have not had any response so far, so I will probably do what I have done before and put adverts in local shop windows.
Last time I did this there was a lot of people who donated items, it was amazing.

Thanks again.

Another tip - put a link to this thread as your signature ;)

every time you post elsewhere on the forum you'll be advertising then :)

I think one of the best ways of getting bedding and things is to be friendly with one of the other charity shops.
They will often get bedding dumped on them that is no good for them to sell - but which is good for the dogs. so you are really doing them a favour.

Hi carsupplier- I'm in Sheffield too and probably have some blankets and towels I can spare - nice fleecy ones that are easy to wash and dry - I'm sure our dobermutt Ailsa won't miss a few. Is the shelter easy to find?

I now have details of a couple of places who will accept any donations for Rotherham Dog Rescue, one is in the Woodhouse area and the other is at Wickersley in Rotherham.
Please send me a personal message for further information.

Thanks.
