anyone have a crate we could borrow to try out.

my daughters new rehomed dog - isn't behaving as she hoped it would.
jumping on kitchen sides, window sills etc

i have the dog with me most days - but the number of occasions when everyone is at work are getting more frequent.
we are going to retry leaving her locked in with my dogs first, but as she is bigger and more hyper compares to my cockers we dont want her doing any damage.

any advice wold be appreciated.

I'm giving you your own thread Willman - so people can see your request

Can you remind us what type of dog and how large she is? so we know what size of cage she needs

She's too big for a baby gate to be of any use to you isn't she?

got a baby gate for her. our dogs have free roaming in the house, my daughter wants her dog restricted to downstairs, so we have to baby gate the open plan stairs.

she is a 10 month old true lurcher- border colliexgreyhound. at the moment she is probably about 2foot (24inch) tall. so she can walk over our cockers without breaking stride.
not quite dalmation size yet and nowhere near a real greyhound.

So do you still need the cage?

yes please.although pet-walkiz has kindly offered one for a week or two.

my dogs have their own room when we shut them away(size of a small bedroom).
unfortunately it has a couple of kitchen base units & worktop(for groomin dogs on) and the new beast Pnut leaps on & off it, our concern is her landing on one of the others.
so i'm going to try to get her to use a cage when i'm home & then if i have to leave them shut up for an hour she will be settled to it.

I have a larger crate than that that you could again borrow for a month if you wanted to. I also sell them very cheaply as wel should you decide you want to keep one. £45 for a 42" one - but can certaily loan one to see.

many thanks pet-walkiz, cage fits spot on where needed and is large enough for the dog.
erected it in my office this morning and one of my dogs decided he'd sleep in it.
the daughters dog has been in it, and i nipped to morrisons for 1/2 hour and left her in which seems to have been successful.
