Can anyone remember whether Knight Rider was originally shown on BBC1 or ITV? I thought BBC1 but my bf thinks it was ITV.

See, you lose :(

In the UK the show was a massive hit also. Broadcast on ITV - the channel raked in a massive audience, even though it was not networked for much of its run, with each region showing episodes in their own selected time-slots. It still has a huge following - thus the repeats on the SKY and Cable satellite channels.

Nah, Saturdays, absolutely 5:15, similar slot for Dirk and his jolly band of "gung-ho we-can-build-owt-out-of-nowt" mates.
And Airwolf.
(and Jim'll fix it!)

It must have been ITV, the picture before and after the ad breaks was of KITT driving across the desert in low light towards the camera.

Ah, I'm thinking of Street Hawk.

Hmm. Just found this though:

When the series was first broadcast in the UK, this episode was the most viewed episode of 1983, clocking up 12.9 million viewers on it's original broadcast on Tuesday 10th May 1983 (ITV, 7:30 p.m.).
