Is this school still there?

Moved out of the tower block next to it around '94...anyone else on here attend Bluestone and remember any of the teachers (I only went to the Nursery and Junior school so any teachers Y3 or above may be lost on me haha!)

fraid not, it's long gone. BS, and Norfolk schools merged, a couple of years ago, and are now situated in a fantastic new building up at the top end of Norfolk Park, It's where the two tower blocks (pink and green iirc) of Guildford (Drive ?) used to be (just on from the fellbrigg pub- which is now a church!!!) behind the funny-shaped Kiosk newsagents if that helps you locate it.

I think what's left of bluestone school now is the playground,i agree that the new school/nursery is fantastic as i take my little girl there & to see the facilities i have to say that i'm really impressed.I used to live in the flats (green block, Guildford close)before they were demolished. P.T you forgot to mention that the kiosk has now been demolished :thumbsup:

aaahhh! the kiosk has gone, too? Crikey! I haven't been past that section of Park Grange Road in absolutely ages!

I had also heard some great things about this new school building, that there are shedloads of eco- ideas incorporated into it, such as a turfed roof (i had heard!) for better insulation.

Yeah they told me it was an echo friendly school they also collect rainwater which is used for the toilets.
