now then...i have been watching the X Factor religiously on the telly, because I am a big fan of Simon Cowell.

One problem I have with this series however is that they have a category for older people, which includes people who are of pensionable age. I don't have anything against older people, but isn't it giving false hopes to those who are under the illusion and seriously think that they have got what it takes to be a star at such a ripe old age?

The same applies to all the younger ones who think they can sing.

Older ones may not have the looks but what does that matter. Tom Jones could fill an arena five times over, whereas David Sneddon or Michelle McManus would struggle to fill a phone box!

Are you sure Michelle would not fill a phone box? :o

Have to admit, I've been watching it while getting ready to go out! Love the audition stage, it's funny TV. As for the rest of it, I don't really care who wins and I wouldn't buy the music.

I do think some of the people they put through though is just for TV, like the old pensioner etc. They have no chance of winning but the judges can't be seen to be biased, racist, agest etc etc

i havent seen many `older' people on x-factor that really think they are going to make it through. its not false hope. its a little bit of fun and an appearance on tv. I really doubt they are thinking of posing in FHM ;)

by the way.. them posh lads bring out bohemian rhapsody and im buying it! sounded amazing.

Yeah but it's a TV program, if it was posted anywhere else the Mods would shift it to here.

I agree though, all Pop Idol-esque TV sucks donkey balls.

On a slightly different note. I see in todays paper the Rick Wally has had to cancel his tour due to only selling '2', YES '2' tickets!.
It makes me 'laurgh my F*****g head orf'.

I hope Travis and The Darkness etc get their act together to record Band Aid III in time for Christmas so we don't have to suffer horrendous Pop Idol / X Factor type cr*p topping the charts at Christmas! Otherwise, maybe Sir Cliff and Shaky could sing a duet to save us????:help:

Apparently they have decided to not release the song in time for xmas. Maybe they have realised that there is no one in the final stages that's any good?

Whoa whoa whoa there!!

There is a couple of good talents that I have seen in X-Factor- namely Tabby and Roweta and voices with soul..

They are very good and they have something about them that you could call the 'x-factor'

Now G4---
cant wait for them to die on their arse in the charts... such a shame
BoHAHAHAHAHA

Tabby has no talent at all and didn't even sing just talked his way though a tune even I can do.

I agree that Roweta and Voices with Soul are great. :D

I like G4, they may have a stupid name but they can really sing and they are different, so they will make one sale if they released a record ;)
