If anyone out there is interested in helping to build support for 'Real' Labour candidate John McDonnell (MP for Hayes and Harlington and chair of the Campaign Group of Labour MPs) in his efforts to become the next leader of the Labour Party you may be interested to know that a broad-based support group (southyorkshire4john) was formed at a meeting held in the Rutland Arms in Sheffield last week.
Besides producing a campaign website and other forms of publicity, the new group plans to hold a high profile regional event (either February or March) involving a debate between McDonnell and a prominent supporter of Gordon Brown.
