how much do scrap dealers pay for scrap copper nowdays and where are they?
one in the rotherham area would be good.
i have a couple of carry bags full thats all.

the only scrappy i remember was at darnall but that was like the mid 80s so prolly not there now tbh
If you put UK scrap copper prices into your search engine you'll find plenty of information - I just did and found that copper in bulk would fetch between £1000 and £3000 per ton, depending on what form it's in (cable is cheapest).
I would imagine that you're going to need to find someone who's willing to buy your two carrier bags worth. You might make enough to buy a pint or three...

With commodity prices so high there's been a resurgence in cable and lead roofing thefts. Visited the wonderful High Bradfield church a couple of months ago and some thieving ******** had nicked all the original lead downpipes.

Bramalls opposite SWFC will do it.
Don't try to just walk into a scrap yard with a couple of carrier bags, they won't take, they will assume you have just pinched it. You need to have a vehicle so they can take the registration number.
