View Full Version : SUFC v Coventry
mrchinnery 25-09-2004, 07:38 Are we going to get thrashed again.
Lets hope the defence are up to keeping Coventry out.
Who fancies a chinese meal at Jumbo before the game?
I wonder how many new shirts I'll see in there.
I think we will beat Coventry today 2-1.But thank god that we did not get Ormerod he missed a penalty had 10 stitches in his head, caused a perfectly good goal of Brian Deanes to be ruled out because of a foul .So there is justice.
Robbie Loving 25-09-2004, 10:32 il be there in my new red and white one!!!
still not got me orange one personalised *sigh*
as for ormerod, all he is a striker that did well for a crap team, he never did anything at saints!!
and will not do anything for leeds either
Yeah Robbie but tell me did you feel a bit good inside like I did when reading the text, that he'd missed a penalty & Leeds had lost .I felt really great.UP THE BLADES
Well I guess 1-1 is ok it's stopped the rot, heard little snippets on Radio Sheffield & after Blacks goal it was all Utd.Well the only way is up for the blades & great to have Tonge back.UP THE BLADES.
Robbie Loving 25-09-2004, 17:11 good game, we played well in second half, thoroughly deserved a win!!
think warnock left it a bit late bringing forte on agan, but thats warnock for you
think we was lucky to get away with the incident where kenny took the free kick for offside quick and cov put it in back of net!!
VERY FORTUANTE
Shaw was annoying me, but he was putting full effort in, which pleased me, but i really dont think he brings anything to the side
gray, good as always
tonge, played well, made a few good runs
thirlwell, ive come to conclusion this guy does not know how to take people on, and will ALWAYS pass it!! not always a bad thing
though
quinn, quality as ever,
black impressed me in second half, but still think we have better players at lane, also took his goal well
bromby, was taking players on, another solid performance
morgan was quiet today, but steady when called upon
jags, another mistake led to the goal, but he is still a good defender, and very rarely does he slip up
harley THANK GOD we have a decent left back playing now, keep him there, he links up so well with tonge on the left
ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD kenny, i love kenny, think he is a great keeper, but he is too risky at times, needs to be a bit more safe!! his throws out are excellent, but his kicking is getting worse and is shocking as it stands!!
mrchinnery 25-09-2004, 17:20 Another slip-up in defence lost us 2 points today.
It was a poor crowd too.
The old woman is twisting my arm to go down to Brighton but I think I will stay at home and listen to it on the radio while having a couple of cans.
I'm a bit fed up of those moaning about Colin; who is there around that would do better? I think nobody.

I thought everyone knew that! ;o)
The Kenny thing was because Colin thought Kenny should have shouted at Quinn for dribbling the ball out of the box in the last few minutes.
There seems to be a little unrest in the dressing room at the mo - the players aren't as motivated as they have been. I think NW's time is up, and let someone else take the reigns. The team has great potential, but they aren't showing it, and haven't been since Christmas last year.

Was disallowed because the ball was moving when Kenny took the quick kick hence the reason why referee had it retaken.

Did you know that an anagram of the new Wendy manager - P Sturrock - is Pork Crust . How apt.

ok.............. but people have been known to take free kicks while ball has been moving#
either way he was lucky
MobileB, thanks for the genuinely witty "Porkcrust" joke. I've just spilled tea over myself laughing at that. In fact, it is such a good one that I'll claim it's mine! Good one.
