Rusty's owners have today been convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal due to overfeeding and yet, despite the brothers are indignant they did nothing wrong and used Rusty's age to blame his poor mobility, they are allowed him back
They will be going to collect the chocolate lab who has lost some 3 stones since being removed from their 'care' in the next couple of weeks.
Fair enough if they'd learnt something from all this but they are convinced they didn't do anything and that it's because he's 11 years old that he can't walk more than a few steps at a time.
The dog was 11 stones for goodness' sake - that's why he couldn't move.
I can't believe that the RSPCA can't do anything about it and have to allow the brothers to take the dog back. They should have been banned from keeping dogs.
This poor dog, after being given another chance at life and losing all that weight, is now going to be allowed back into their 'care'.
On the other hand, the victory in itself is that they got convicted for this and the world might finally start to listen.
