a little boy about 11 years old has been knocked down on the crossing on greenland road in darnall this morning on his way to school about 8am , it was a big blue van/truck or even just a big blue car with big wheels , the police are saying.the only witnesses so far have been other school children so the discription is sketchy. The person drove off and has left the little boy critically ill, the policeman that came in our shop a little while ago said that the hospital doesnt expect him to live through the day.

if anyone knows anything at all could they please contact the police, this spineless yellow bellied *thing* needs to be caught.

Thanks
Litha

It was on the front of the Star last night.

A colleague of mine drove past about 2 hours after the accident had happened & it was still chaotic. Sand been placed on the road, people being interviewed.

To drive off is just appalling tho, the poor kid.

yeah it is totally appalling, i have no idea how this *thing* can live with themselves. there was police there much of the day doing interviews with camera men n stuff. i look out of my shop window right at the spot and cant stop crying. Hubby went to the news agents this morning and got told by the lady in there that some one had been in that knows the boys dad and that the lad is blind in one eye neally blind in the other and has brain damage and still very critical.
my heart goes out to him it really does, this brave little lad has gone through all this and the scum bag thing hasnt even got the decency to give its self up.
if it isnt cought soon i hope guilt eats it up from the inside.

my Blessings go to the little lad and his family

Very sad news, indeed, folks.

The little lad, Adam, lost his nine day fight for life, yesterday.

If the bloke that the police have on bail for this incident turns out to be the guilty party, then I hope to goodness the book is thrown at him, big style!

The little lad's elder sister is a good friend of my daughter in law, and the lad himself was a good friend of my nephew. My nephew was so looking forward to joining him at senior school when he moves up, next summer. He, like the family of Adam, are absolutely devastated.

This is all so dreadful. Only the other day, things appeared to be looking more hopeful, as the medics had managed to wean him off the ventilator etc.

yes it is very sad indeed, i can see the flowers that have been put on the railing next to the crossing thru my shop window, i couldnt stop crying.. i didnt even know the little lad but my heart was breaking for him and his poor family.
i hope the *thing* gets kicked to buggery in prison, i hope its a bloody big book they throw at him.

Blessings to all his family

Terrible, terrible news.

The Police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident. They would like to speak to anyone who saw a black and white lorry in or around the area.

The Police incident room number is 0114 220 2970 if anyone can help.

Hiya Andy
so does this mean the man they originally got for it isnt the one? cos the police man wot came in my shop ses the vehicle was blue.
the flowers are piling up, and im such a coward i cant bring myself to cross the road, i have no idea how the poor family are coping. a babys life has been stolen and the person responsible should suffer. it wouldnt be as bad if the person resposible had stopped ( i know it wouldnt bring the little lad back) but if he would only take his resposibility. his cowardice is shocking and he should be made to pay the price.

deepest sympathy from me and all from my shop, and also if any one wants to complain about the cctv cameras not working that day count me in i will be there to lend my support

Blessings
