How long ago was this??? I remember a few of the old characters from Lowedges in the 70's ... Basher, Woodbine Annie, Margaret Elsworth etc, but not the guy who swept up??

i remember a story in the late 70's early 80's in the star paper about him i just wanted to know who he was and why he did it really !
