League or Union, or either? To be honest you'll struggle for an all girls side, but from where you are, I'd nip to Sheffield RUFC at Abbeydale Park, or if she prefers League, go to the Hillsborough Hawks.

SRUFC are the top rated Sheffield side with the RFU, and may have some info/clubs, and I'm sure the Hawks have some mixed teams for younger players.

Sheffield Tigers have Sunday morning sessions up at Dore Moor too

Do they have them for girls though? I'd hope so ........ what position does your daughter play hippo, or is she just wanting a good run about? Good time for it with the 6 Nations coming up ........

Thanks! These replies are great, really useful. She has never played rugby it's just something she fancies doing and i'm keen to encourage physical activity! It seems not a lot happens at school (she's at Newfield), there's not a lot of after school sporty stuff, which I think is a shame.

I highly recommend sheffield rugby club based at abbeydale. The mini and junior coachers are the best. Mums there are really friendly and you could make some good friends and have a fab social life. the contact name is glyn chandler and you can find his number on their web site. For rugby league try hillsborough hawks. They train on a tuesday night at 6.30pm and matches tend to be played on sundays. There are quite a few who travel from the south side of the city to the north. Again contact numbers will be found on the web site of this club. Tigers rugby club I have no comment to make.
