Hi

I am interested to find out if there is a co-operative in sheffield, both a food co-operative and whether there is a co-operative for sharing skills - where there is a list of peoples skills availble like plastering, dog walker, gardener, DIY, music teacher, ironing etc etc, and then the group can swap skills rather than paying. Its a great idea and have known of one in a different area but would be keen to find one here.

There is something called LETS, where people trade skills etc. I don't know anything about the Sheffield LETS but you could try googling in LETS Sheffield.

i have looked on google for LETS s.yorks and a small amount of info has come up but i am going to ring the tel number today to find out more and will post here my outcome for anyone who is interested.
I would really like to get involved with a scheme like this

have rang the number and left a message (but they said on message that only available on wed evenings 7.30 - 8.30pm - so guess i might not hear back until next wed now)

in the meantime if anyone wants to know more the websites i looked at were
LETS - local exchange trading system

2) .sheffieldlets.org.uk- which is the sheffield lets - not much info on there though

lets hope i get a reply and then i will post the outcome, but still would be interesting to see how many other people interested in this sort of scheme, as if no joy from others could always set one up??
