Long gone are the days of Jocky Wilson, Bristow and Big Cliff downing pints after each throw. After getting back into Darts when did they start all this business of coming out to entrance music and EVERYONE having a nickname no matter how crap it is?

Crafty Cockney & Limestone Cowboy were classics but nowadays they don't half scrape the barrel (so to speak!)

'The Tripod' yeah he's tall but is there something else we should know, shouldn't his entrance music be Jake the Peg by Rolf Harris?
'The Matchstick' how crap is that, does his head go bright red when he's winning or summat?
'Darth Maple', 'Bravedart' the list goes on.. although i do like 'Hawaii 501' :)

And as for Ted Hankey he should walk out to the Mr Hankey song from South Park :D

Sorry back to the original reason for bringing this up, was this a thing that Sky brought in when they took over showing Darts?

Very probably, and the BDO has followed suit. I just mute the TV until they're actually about to start playing.

They have always had the walk ons, but the Lakeside has been been 'done up' this year and the walk distance extended for the crowds entertainment... :D

Lets hope they dont become anymore wwe like in their entrances. I can live quite happily without seeing Ted "The Count" Hankey in a pair of black speedos. :hihi:
