Hi, since I last posted to say most dallies had found homes, they had a complete turn around and the welfare service is laden with dallies needing homes.

There are dogs of all ages, a few oldies too.

Please do remember that dalmatians aren't easy dogs - some males don't get along with other males and they don't tend to calm down until they're about 9... However, for the right people, they make fantastic pets are very intelligent and if they have good recall, you can stand in the park while they run themselves ragged without the need to exercise too much yourself.
There are dalmatians all over the country competing in obedience, agility and conformation shows.

Dalmatians also make great companions for horses and, if trained, will accompany you in horse riding, it's what they're bred to do and a lot of them take to it very easily. If you're interested in giving one of these wonderful, misunderstood dogs a home, please let me know and I'll pass on the details.

The welfare has dogs of all different types and ages and all have different personalities, so do consider them, some are calmer than others ;)

CV - 6 months might not be the best time for her to welcome another dog into the house - but if you do please consider one of the oldies.

We got Eddy, our oldie when Takara was a year and am very glad we didn't get a pup. There are many oldies needing homes who don't get picked because of their age... they're lovely dogs and Eddy causes us no problems at all - apart from with some dogs - other than that he's so lovely.

Lottie
if you want to send me a link - we could put a link on our web site to them - would appreciate one back from them if they will.

We are getting a lot of hits and it certainly is the way to rehome dogs these days. People love to see pictures and a description before they visit.
