I'm sure the parents of these thugs must be very proud of their kids :rant: if my son EVER did anything like he wouldn't be able to sit down for a week at least, i'd also expect him to clean the buses on a daily basis for free as a way of apologising!

She's fine, just very very tired.
First day back at her new branch, its a 40 minute commute each way. :) That was the last thing she needed.

why do you doubt the police will do anything?? if you a got a good description, witnesses and maybe got something on cctv then they would most likely do a lot. if you tell them you dont know what the offender looked like and nobody saw it then there is little they can do... what with them not being pychic.

It really makes me wonder what they get out of doing something like this,they haven't got the brains to realise that someone could be very seriously hurt.

I always thought.... what the police can do with them depends on their age,this is why they do it because they get away with it if they are under a certain age.
I may be wrong about this though im not sure.

a person is capable of "mens rea" or criminal intent at the age of 10, so a person can be found guilty from that age, yeah it is likely that they will not be put inside for smashing a bus window but it can contribute towards an asbo for example.

The weird thing is public transport isn't the only target. Emergency services also suffer from bricks, bottles etc. What kind of mentality can throw missiles at people who are only there to help someone in ther own neighbourhood?

Absolute ***heads, glad to hear your mums ok. I was sat on the back seat of a bus once in Shiregreen when the same breed of idiots to do exactly the same thing. Actually say the brick coming towards the window so managed to duck in time otherwise could have been quite nasty. Someone should go and throw a brick through their house window...thats assuming they have windows in whereever theyve been dragged up from :loopy:

Absolutely..I get a bit fed up hearing people dismiss things like this as being what "kids do" as if it's "alright then".....

But you know the first one that is hurt running away by running into someones fist or foot (love it to be mine) will go crying to the police that he's (and in most cases mindless actions like this are down to males) been assulted while making sure he forgets to tell the cops why he got injured

This is true actually...down here we had a spate of missiles being thrown over the spanning bridges on motorways.
Just as mindless and dangerous....

isn't that why they stopped the 93 from going on the flower estate a few yrs ago? prob the same morons who have nothing better to do. thankfully dont go to firth park much its a dump now. glad no1 was hurt

they did stop the 93 going on the flower estate a while ago due to the idiotic morons bricking the buses....a driver got hit by a brick on mischief night at high green...it came through the window and hit his leg...what if it had hit his head...potentially fatal to all onboard

Im from shirecliffe the other year i had a brick chucked at the back of my head split from top to bottom had to be glued, had a brick chucked through my boyfriends house, had my dads car stolen, by joy drivers and burnt out and had another car randomly broke in to and pushed down the road. lol sheffield is crap at tackling crime it does my head in.

I was on that bus and the window that went was the one where babies and prams would have been.
Fortunately there weren't any on by that time but it makes me shudder to think what could have happened if there had been.

i am not trying to add a stupidity to this forum...but we need a vigilante, headhunter too, just something to bring trouble makers to fears of their own
