Im going to have a go with runner beans this year and whilst I was in Wilkinsons I picked up a pack as their seeds are so cheap. The variety is enorma. Is this a mistake for a small garden? I want to either make a small trench on one of my flower beds or bung a couple of wigwams in the border. Should I have bought a smaller variety or isnt there a deal of difference?

I know there is a variety now you can grow in pots, which is in the seed catalogues, but I purposely didnt get those as I thought I wanted the height that the canes will give as I think they look attractive.

I think you've chosen the best variety.I've grown Enorma many times.Tall varieties are the best for small gardens,as you get the best yield for the amount of land.Keep them well watered and you can't go wrong.

I grew enorma the year before last in my back garden, they were great, grew them up wigwams between the edge of my grass and the fence, got a good harvest of beans off of about 12 plants!
