View Full Version : Flights to New York
Anyone flown to New York in the past and can point me in the direction of a good operator? BA's £199 deal that they advertised at the weekend works out at slightly more than that at nine hundred quid each, but it has got me wanting to go.
mr craig 22-09-2004, 16:13 You had a look at www.lastminute.com.

No need to go so far Toby, the morning show isn't that bad!
We flew with ba, got it fromwwww.bonvoyage.com or .co.uk was awsome, have you been before, I dream of being back there.
We paid £799 for two peeps staying 3 nights at the millenium Hilton, amazing, but that was May 2001, we managed to see the twin towers which were a sight to behold.
Hope you get a good deal the whole experience is just totally brilliant-hope you like walking. :)
I went in March 2001.. Got my tickets of the Internet. Return flight with Air India £199 and 4 star hotel, £180 for the week.
A week in New York for less £1000 I got (obviously I had to shop while I was there  ).. Bargain I thought, Am I wrong ? :suspect:
I fly to America quite alot, and always use ebookers.com. I have never had a problem after about 10 return flights, and have always found them to have the best deals. The only drawback with the cheap flights they have is that you can't change or transfer the tickets.
(i always find American Airlines to have the best service and deals)
I flew with Virgin Atlantic in November who were pretty good. Can't remember exactly how much it was, but it wasn't much over £200.
NY's fantastic, you'll love it Toby.
ncrossland 23-09-2004, 07:58 Apparently Iceland Air (the country, not the frozen food supermarket) are very reasonable, and you can have a free stopover in Iceland (again, the country, not the frozen food supermarket) in one direction.
Thanks for all you replies, I'll have a butcher's
I went at Easter 2002 and paid just over £200 with B.A.
My mum an dad are going in a few weeks and they found it a lot cheaper if they went via Paris with air France for some reason.
Good luck and let us know what you come up with because i'm looking to go for Christmas.
genesiscouch 23-09-2004, 15:50 I'd recommend ebookers, they also have a US sale on right now so it's worth checking out.
Squashie28 23-09-2004, 16:37 Me and my partner went to New York by American Airlines, this flight operator has seats with extra legroom which was great for my partner cos he is a big chap.
The flight cost us £725 return but this expense was due to the fact our holiday was taken during a bank holiday week in August of last year.
We stayed in cheap accomodation in a hostel which we got from this website www.hostelworld.com you will be able to find some really cheap and nice places to stay with this site and I would definetly use it again.
New York is amazing, I hope to visit it again one day.
Regards
Joanne

While I'm here, anyone any idea if it'd be a fortune to get someone a flight home as they're not enjoying their hol... from Magaluf??
I use Virgin (http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/index.jsp)
