Sorry veggies! We're looking to buy good quality meat as opposed to cheapo cuts. Can anyone recommend a good Sheff butcher that sells great steak/lamb/chicken? There is that "Real Meat Butcher" on Ecclesall Road. What are they like? Also anybody buy in bulk direct from the farm? TIA

the butchers on the corner of sharrowvale rd, just off eccy rd is brilliant. Forget the name, mooneys?

If it's quality you want then try Chatsworth Farm Shop. Excellent produce, all reared on the estate and surprisingly competitive. I am sure they would deliver bulk orders.

But warning *you won't want to eat meat from anywhere else when you have tasted theirs*

i go home to my parents and eat that then have to deal with sainsburys when im back at mine!

"Roneys" Sharrow vale rd - It is good and has won awards for quality

S&M rocks for quality and price. Nicest people too.
They also do some of the more unsual meats, I've tried ostrich, crocodile, wild boar and a couple of others from there.

S&M - all our BBQ food and joints are from them.

Is S&M the place with the white frontage listing all their prices? I'll have to check them out.

I can vouch for this too. I got some items from the Fish Monger and they were quality.
