My dogs have been miserable today to match the weather. They always seem sleepy and lethargic when we have wet miserable days.

But when the sun is shining they play for hours and bounce around.

Any one else's dogs like this?

The chocador goes bonkers when it's windy.
When we were out in the park the other day another dog walker couldn't get his dog to come back, he reckoned it had been spooked by the wind, they'd been stood looking at each other for two hours by the time I saw them.

God yes! My dog would rather go in to urinary retention than go out for a wee when its wet :rolleyes: He's also scared of the wind as he's got older.I think this stems from his fear of thunderstorms-he now associates heavy wind or rain as a pre-cursor to a storm? He is definately a sun worshipper-he'll sunbathe for hours!

Jynx our 2 year old Shih Tzu hates walking on the wet grass watching her trying to tip toe onto the grass for a wee is hilarious.

Alfie who is 7 months doesn't seem bothered by the wet but still seems miserable.

Tilly's exactly the same in wind. It just seems to send her crackers.

our dog bridie doesnt want to move today we practicaly had to carry her out grandma grunt is tired out its usualy her walking bridie today she had to carry her no meen thing as bridie is not a small dog and overweight but we love her ahh

Very true. My dog will swim all day,but hates going out in the rain?? :suspect:

I have a Springer and a Patterdale.
The Springer won't go out in rain unless dragged and the Patterdale can't wait to get out in it. Makes for some very difficult walkies.
Also Buster (Patterdale) gets very excited if he hears a storm coming. He runs up and down and chases his tail. Then he sits at a window and watches the lightning. Strange dog. Kizzy just ignores the whole thing, she's very laid back for a Springer.
