My car and house insurance are both up for renewal this month and I am loathe to give my money to a company who is making British workers unemployed whilst shipping jobs out to India.

Can anybody recommend a company that still uses British labour to man its call centres? They can have my business even if their quote is not the cheapest.

Not Norwich Union, they lost my business when the call centre operator didn't understand english.

Try the NFU?

My son used More Than 3rd party F/T & some moron hit him & his policy states that the insurer will only fight for the money to repair or the vehicle to be written off ,only if he paid an extra premium on top of the premium he already pays,so he has to fight the guys insurance himself to get the money from his clearly written off car.Beware Extra Add on premiums.

I think Direct Line are still British.

I got car insurance in july - £736 TPFT on a 1.1 Fiesta. I turn 21 next week, so will be amending or cancelling my insurance, as the quote stands at £485 for the same car! That quote is with direct line, my current insurance is with Tesco.

I think you mean the Legal Cover option, it is only normally about £10 extra.
