Wonder if any one can help me. I need to find a meeting room in sheffield which can accomodate 40 - 50 people and have a small kitchen attached for tea making facilities. I need this for the whole of Saturday the 3rd of March. The event is for a charity called Forest School Camps so any place which would offer a discount for charities scores high! PLease let me know if you have used any similer facility in Sheffield and how much it cost. Central location close to the train station would be ideal.

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can offer some advice.

Paul

Hi there,

Aizlewood Mills near the Wicker can rent out lots of different size rooms for hire, not sure if they are open on a Saturday but worth giving them a call, Ive been to lots of training/meetings there and not a bad place at all and very reasonable.

Also, the Boys club in Hillsborough may have a room that you can hire out and they have a kitchen there aswell, if they dont have any events on that day they may help.

Any local community halls may hire out the room and most of them have a kitchen for drinks facilties, in the past I know a church that rent out a community centre on Cedar Road, Stocksbridge.

Hope this gives you some ideas!

Good luck

Anymore suggestions would be greatfully recieved

The Showroom has a meeting room although it doesnt have a kitchen. You can give Heather Stewart (conferencing) a call to ask any questions on 2210239. That's pretty close to the train station!

You could try the Quaker Meeting House in the centre of town. They have rooms of various sizes. Also the Wildlife Trust on Stafford Road (near Norfolk Park) has a good sized room.

Hi Paul,

Yes the Wildlife Trust do have several rooms available to hire, and we also have a good sized kitchen, attached to our community hall which can seat about 80 people. It can be hired week days or weekends. Its a popular venue for kids birthday parties, so get in quick!
Excellent rates too!

Its on Stafford Road - contact reception on 0114 263 4335 or email mail@wildsheffield.com

Have you tried St Mary's Community Centre, the old church near the United ground?

When I worked for the Council, it was always the first port of call when the Council's own meeting rooms were fully booked.

Here's the link; http://www.stmarys-church.co.uk/conference.html

Its only during seminars that we go for the meeting rooms.otherwise its always web conferencing solutions that we opt for any business interactions.
