Hi people, long shot but I was wondering what this pub is that someone took me to over 2 years ago...
All I know is that is was just outside Sheffield, a very nice small cosy pub with dogs running round and lots of 'locals' and an open fire, and that it was at the side of a big pond lake thingy lol!
Any ideas thats all the info I have?

How about the Royal at Dungworth? Does it overlook the Flask at the rear?

Hey all, well I DO know it isn't at Ford or Ladybower-will have to get the map out and check other possibilities! God I wish I could remember! I know you could go outside and up some steps I think mayeb at the side and the pond lake thing was right there. Not sure if it had a long drive too?

Is it Hewitt Arms at Shireoaks? That has an open fire, is bang next to a large fishing pond, and has steps outsite leading up to a balcony type thing.

on Autoroute, it says it's 14.8 miles from Gleedless Townend to where the pub is.
The best way would be to head towards the A57, then stay on the A57 towards Worksop. Go past Todwick, past Anston, and Shireoaks is the next village just off the next roundabout to the right. As you enter Shireoaks village, just stay on the main street, over the level crossing, and when u reach the sharp left bend at the bottom of the hill, turn right (it's actually straight on) Hewitt Arms is on the left, you can't miss it.
