The Bowshaw just before you get to Dronfield is very good.

The one at the Crosspool Tavern on Manchester Road is excellent. I think its on all day everyday.

crosspool tavern is excellent its on all day an price varies depending on what time you eat lunches are very good value in week at around 3 quid. and its real meat none of your bernard matthews turkey.

Fairways is nice and cheap!
a group of us went to the fairway, and it was totally dire.

a lot of us ended up with dodgy tummies! the veggie option was still CHILLY in the centre, the veg was hit-and-miss as to whether it was cooked. slow service, the beer was horrible. really not a pleasant experience.

The wheatsheaf Carvery, at Parkhead, Ecclesall Road South has been top-banana, both times we've been there in the last 6 months. Nice grub, good and helpful service. Liked it immensely.

The Kimberworth Park has started doing a carvery. I havent been yet so I don't know if they are all day, or if they do mashed potatoes.:hihi:

We went to the Drawbridge last night - that costs £3.25 each before 5pm, bt they only had new pots and roasts.

there's normally a good carvery at Hillsborough on match days!! i hear the pork is nice but you must trim the fat off, as they breed BIG pigs down there:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
