Do you know if we are getting a skip down at hagg house? Currently I have a bit of plastic waste and broken glass to dispose of.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of some horse manure for the plot?

Cheers, Rich

We're currently trying to ask as many people as possible what they want to spend the £300 the site was awarded on. As the moment I'd guess several skips look like the favourite as quite a lot of us have large amouts of rubbish to get rid of.

The weather's not too predictable at this time of year, so it's difficult to plan anything in advance, so might be nearer spring.

But if you have any other ideas either put them on here or contact the Allotment Federation who are adminstering the grant for the site,

Rob

Rich - I have a plot at Hagg House (132 &133), and I'm getting a load of well rotted manure (cow, though, I think...) delivered in a couple of weeks if you want a share...? Stuck a message on another thread about Hagg House - I'm just getting used to this forum business.

Didn't know the site had been awarded £300 either - what's that about?? Skip would be good - and perhaps a bit of 'rubbish' swapping while we're at it? What's junk to one might be treasure to someone else etc etc..

Not sure yet - probably less than £50 for the lot, and I'll be having at least half of it I reckon. I'll check and get back to you...

Clough Fields Livery Stables just off Back Lane, next to Hagg Lane allotments give their manure away for free. There is loads of it. They provide wheel barrows, just turn up and help yourself. You could either bag it or, if possible use a trailer.

Thanks for the info MonkeyMatt, that's pretty handy.

I'm new to this forum also, and am on plot 130 at Hagg House (the one with the wooden sign painted with silver lettering).

I had no idea about the £300 either.
