I have a relatively old 'Time' computer - with printer, scanner, monitor and keyboard. Don't know what its spec is. Works fine but I need to dispose of it. I would like to recycle it either somewhere where it will be broken up or pass it on to an organisation that can make use of it. Does anyone have any good ideas and if I let it go how do I wipe my stuff off the hard drive?

To wipe your hard drive, go to www.webroot.com and download a trial of WINDOW WASHER.
Install it and run it and select WEBROOT SYSTEM ERASER. It will then make a floppy disk you can put in your PC to securely wipe it.
To be on the safe side, you may want to just take the drive out and smash it. If you're giving it away I'm sure the recipient will be happy to put their own drive in.
