Hi all,
We had a power cut last night for a couple of hours - anyone else cop for it?
The lack of street lamps did allow a slightly better look at the starts - shame it was a bit misty!

yeah, we were mid-party when it happened. Carried on with a few torches and candles.

had a seconds woth of down-time last night at Stannington - most impressive as I walked in - checked on the cats and then all of a sudden there was no power - then all came back with light and beeps from the PC's upstairs.
I think it was about 1AM ish?
I think ours went about 11-30 or so......
We just trotted around the place, turned off stuff that would wake us when it came back on, marshalled the cats and turned in and listened to the radio for an hour or so. I think it came on sometime in the small hours but wouldn't know when....
It was quite nice and relaxing.
I guess that somewhere a little man said 'I wonder what will happen if I press this big button marked 'Do not press this big button'......
Followed by 'Oops......' :)

Not sure if it's a coincidence but we had one in Manchester at around the same time.
Well.
Strange!
We're in Walkley & had no power outage at all????
Though all our street light were out a couple of night ago....
Spooky prelude maybe...
yep, went off about 11.30 and cam eback on about 1.30. Must buy a torch . Luckily we had 2 candles in the house...
A blip that turned off the telly and lights, but not the clocks or computer about 11.30 in Crookes.

Went off about 11:20 (right in the middle of the football!) Nothing else for it than to go to bed, and it came back on around 1:15ish.
We're in Hillsborough, off the bottom of Walkley Lane. Could see power was still on in the big flats on Bradfield Road.

My Mom lives in Lower Walkley, and her power went off for a couple of hours.
She's partially sighted, and woke up on the sofa in complete darkness. Poor love thought she had gone blind until she found her lighter!
I know it's wrong to laugh, but it made me smile that sudden blindness was her first thought...

We had a bilp around 1ish on Sunday morning. I thought it was the amount of wine I'd drunk at the time :)
