just about to go out
just starting to make love
or just dropping off

I was enjoying a soak. We have a cordless phone and he just brought the damned thing up to me - some flippin sales call. Like they would want to speak to me when I am in the bath???

Isn't the first time he has done it - I just wanted to know if it was me being picky or if everyone did it??

No you are not being picky. As a working mother you deserve your soak in peace, without some pratt from BT trying to sell you some call waiting package.

Either get in the habit of asking who's calling or ditch the cordless.

Oh he did ask who was calling - as he was stood next to me in the bathroom. Didn't stop him from standing there waiting for me to take the friggin phonecall :o

I give the (still ringing) phone to my wife every time. It`s never ever for me, so I don`t answer it! I like giving her the cordless in the bath;) , and she`s learning how to avoid long winded sales pitches from double glazing sales slaves (it`s not their fault!). Obviously I have few friends, and they don`t phone me!

Other options include:

Install a shower
Put a lock on the door

As for cold calling, I'm on tps so don't get many now. Used to have wicked moments tho...Apparently I sound like a small child on the phone, so when they (invariably) asked to speak to my parents without finding out who I was, I would tell them no and say I didn't know where they were( I know, very bad of me). Or say okay and walk off leaving the phone on the table in a typical child way, or give them my father's long distance phone number:twisted:

Brilliant. I hadn't heard of this at all. I urge EVERYONE to register, and convince these idiots to stop trying to sell us guff over the phone.
