View Full Version : REM gig at the Hallam FM Arena
Just bought tickets for REM at the Arena but could only get seats at the back on the top tier - block 212.
Anyone sat there at previous concerts ? what's the view like ?
Miss_smiley 18-09-2004, 20:45 does that mean they are probably just about sold out do you think ?? I was hoping to go.
noseyrosie 18-09-2004, 20:50 Tickets were almost sold out a 9:10 this morning! I didn't manage to get any! I'm gutted :(

I think I just saw a pig fly by my bedroom window.
Miss_smiley 18-09-2004, 20:58 I like shiny headed ants..... I wonder if the Arena need any extra staff that night????? :)
Got mine online this aft - very few left
RPG - not the answer I was hoping for !!
The may announce another night due to response
It wont be that bad I dont think, ive sat on that row before (not for a gig or anything, it was the student fair last year!) its not *that* bad, and anyway you go for the music dontcha? :)
Should be a good gig!
bassman-x 19-09-2004, 11:32 I got mine at about 11am saturday, the ticket cost over £7 extra just in 'booking fees' and postage, extortion.
Sheffield20 19-09-2004, 17:50 Got two "front standing" tickets :)
Bought on the web site by 0905 yesterday
yeah the booking fee is a bit extortionate - but I couldn't be arsed to queue so I can't complain.
anyone know if there is a support band ?
Agent Orange 20-09-2004, 08:05 Got front standing tickets which I purchased on Friday. Got first digs as I'm subscribed to cclive.
commie pig 20-09-2004, 11:18 there's generally a support band. the arena isn't too bad even if you are in a seat way back.
after oversleeping till 9.50 i could only get rear standing tix, but they'll do!
should be fun :)
Snakey_B 20-09-2004, 18:17 Im sure 400 extra standing tickets will be made available tomoro but dont count that as 100% ,i dont mind anyways not my thing!
I have tickets for Ian Brown in L**ds anyways .GET IN!
Delboy71 22-09-2004, 09:30 If that's the arena where they do the Masters Football then you shouldn't have a problem as it's not that big.
Saw them at Manchester MEN a few years ago and it was massive. Fortunately got good seats!! Also seen them at Milton Keynes Bowl on the Monster Tour and that was awesome.
I've got tickets for KC Stadium in Hull this time as it's nearer to where I live!!
Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone to go with me. However, after plenty of beer, I came to the conclusion that I didn't need friends, and booked myself a ticket. With my sober head back on, i'm not convinced it was such a good idea. Do you think i'll look like a friendless saddo?
Saw them on the monster tour in 95 and they were class! Incidentally, I had friends with me that time.

No not at all. I ended up going to see Duran Duran on my own back in April but luckley I bumped into a mate from work and a few other friends who I had no idea were going.
Would love to go & see REM though
If the new single leaving New York is anything to go by you are in for a superb night.
That really is an awesome track
