View Full Version : I'm a football widower, what should I do
mrchinnery 01-01-2007, 10:23 Here i am again. Home alone while the wife has gone to Middlesborough to watch football.
I've had 7 days off work over the holidays an she been to three football matches; two of them away matches.
I have little interest in football so going with her isn't an option.
I'm wondering about looking for gf to keep me busy. Is that wrong.
I'm 52, kids grown up so dont feel I have to stick with my present poor relationship
expitlad 01-01-2007, 10:40 She probably goes to get out of your way. You sound a real bag of fun.
Stop moaning and find something you want to do
Are you sure she is going to football? who is she going with?
Sharpe 95 01-01-2007, 10:49 Get yourself an xbox/wii/ps2 and make her a console widow

Well you could always occupy yourself by doing some dusting:hihi: or you could be really manly and bake a cake or something. Thatll show her:hihi:

I had no interest in rugby til I was persuaded to watch a few matches. Go along with her to the football matches occasionally. Even if you find that you're still not a football fan, you'll be spending some time together, which is the important thing, surely?

Oops, missed this bit. Yes it is wrong, as you know or you wouldn't be questioning it. If the relationship is poor, then either do something to make it better again, or decide to leave it.
Stockers 01-01-2007, 13:05 na, na, na, na, she's a blade and she's a blade!!!!
Why not get an interest of your own?
mrchinnery 01-01-2007, 13:35 I could do with a interesting woman.
KJ_VENOM 01-01-2007, 13:41 you could always become a vet
mrchinnery 01-01-2007, 13:45 A vet?

It amazes me how people come on here slagging off their other half!! If you've got problem with her, tell her, not the whole of Sheffield matey
Stockers 01-01-2007, 18:06 The Blades lost as well, she'll come home, kick the cat then sneak off to bed alone.
I'd seriously consider having a chat with her.
mrchinnery 06-01-2007, 14:16 I now have a girlfriend and am much happier.

That was quick :o
Whats happened to the wife?
Next match, change the locks, order a pizza and slot a dvd in the old telly.

mrchinnery 06-01-2007, 18:45 I've got a hobby too.
_Kirsty_ 06-01-2007, 18:49 I've got a hobby too.
We dont want to know what hobbies you do with your new girlfriend... :hihi:
So, does your wife actually know about your 'new hobby' and your 'new girlfriend'?

She's not one of those "living dolls" that were on late night TV recently is she? They were certainly quite lifelike although a bit dead looking :hihi:
