Does anyone know anything of the history of this road, particularly that of the three large houses. I remember the magnificent one that was demolished after being abandoned for some years and the land was used to build a new estate.

I've been looking for old photos of it on Picture Sheffield but I don't think they have any.

The big one that was demolished in the 1980s was lived in by the Marlow family I think... it made way for Wade Meadow.

The large house right at the top of the crescent is still there, although I think there were rumours that the owner wanted to knock it down and build some houses on the land. Not sure how correct that is thugh. Maybe have a look for a planning application!
