you need Abbeydale road south , which is just an extension of Abbeydale Road.

When you get to some traffic lights at a junction with the Natwest bank on the left hand corner and a Halifax in front of you on your right. Keep going a few more yards and the entrance is there on your left down a little slope.

Hi,
From town go out of the city along London road, that is the road beyond what used to be the Manpower Services building [that brick edifice at the bottom of the moor] The road forks at a pub called The Royal, take the right fork and that is Abbeydale road. Keep going straight on passing the Abbeydale Picture Palace on the left [a large white building at the top of a slight hill] Past the Broadfield pub on the right , keep goingYou'll come to a large slip road and lights that is the entrance to Tesco's [don't go down there] Another quarter of a mile passing the Millhouses hotel pub on the left, [a large pub set back slightly from the road] and you come to a group of shops and another set of lights, three yards through those lights and there is a narrow car entrance into the park on the left although it isn't very obvious, and there you are in Millhouses Park.
No I'm not a big drinker by the way

To goto Millhouses from Chapeltown, get the 76 bus (to Lowedges) get off on High Street next to Natwest, wait and get a 97 or 97A (to Toltey or Totley Brook), both lines run approx every 20 minutes (even though First wants you to believe it's more frequent).

If you want to arrive the same day, get the trian in chapeltown, get off @ Sheff, go to Pinstone Street/St Pauls Garden bus stops, at Maplin and wait for a 97 / 97A.

Get off at the Wagon & Horses pub bus stop, ask the driver, he'll let you know. From town it is 1.1£ or 2£ for the day saver :)

I recon you can make it with those instructions :)
