Following the deaths of Natalie and Andrew McLeish in the Tsunami on Boxing Day 2004 and the eventual identification of Natalie's body in September 2005, the families set up the NATANDY Fund with the aim:

"To raise funds to support the rebuilding of the lives of the people of Thailand, particularly those on the Island of Phi Phi, and with special emphasis on helping the young people."
