for the story.
I used to work in a cycle shop, i can remember someone coming round from the fire brigade with a booklet detailing 25 ways to open a D lock!
they're easy enough...
but I used to work in a cycle shop too and the worst kind are those combination locks. A woman came in one day, struggling to drag her bike as she'd forgot her combination.
She wondered if I could possibly saw through the lock..
After the obligatory proof of ID (she had a bank statement matching the postcoding on the frame), I left the hacksaw alone - it took 10 seconds to break the combination
10 seconds, did you stop for a break?...... lol:)
And to think, people still use those combination locks!
At least with the biro method it will stop people doing it wrong and opening the bicycle in order to remove it, leaving the lock still on the railings.
Maybe the council should watch those videos too, so they can remove all those bike-less locks you see around the city
I had not actually seen that method before, but having sold hundreds of D locks, i can see how it can be done quite easy.
