My car needs its first MOT and was wondering if there are any garages anyone can recommend? I live around Hunters Bar, so don't want to have to trek too far. Took it to the dealer for its service last year and cost an arm and a leg, so don't want to take it there again.

I haven't been for a while. He was recommended to me for being very good value, and from the little I know it does seem reasonable. It's hard to say as my old car was knackered and needed lots doing :)
£15 for an oil and filter change though, and it cost me £12 for the stuff when my dad did it...
