Is there anything I can do to get a stronger pressure in my shower? At the moment the pressure is feeble and the water temperature is freezing. Has the boiler got to do with any of this? A friend of mine bought a power shower but said it was just as feeble as before, his explanation was that is was probably due to the boiler being kind of old..:(

Is it an electric shower? or a mixer tap type?

Electric should be fed direct from the rising main so the tank would have no effect on it.

If it is a mixer type then the tank could have an impact.

I assume this would be an electric shower.

Whats the presure like on your cold water tap on your kitchen sink? you could try turning this up on the main stop tap.

You can buy pumps to boost shower pressure. We used to have one in our bungalow. Only problem is that the pump we had installed was too good - it emptied the water tank in a couple of minutes!

Best bet is to get a quote from a plumber.

Mickey many thanks for your help. Well it is an elecric shower- and it looks to me as though it is very dated- early 1980's it seems!!
I moved to my current proprety about 3 months ago, it was fine in the summer ( as I needed a cool shower most of the time) but now its been turning very cool I need the shower to be warmer and get more pressure out of the thing!!
My landlord is useless- he doesn't have a clue, and I certainly don't think he'll be prepared to invest in a new shower.
What can you suggest??

Just had mine sorted out, after it started really stuggling with temperature and any water coming out of it. This was after the water had been turned off and air?? got into the system. Apparently this dislodged loads of limescale (which i didn't think we got in Sheffield) and it just needed a good clean out. Have to say it is now working better than it did when it was first fitted.
