You're better off selling the car privately and buying a van with the money, or advertising for a swap in ad-mag, though prepare to have p*ss takers phoning (it's a bit like advertising something for sale/swap on here)

If you want a swap with a trader they would only offer you a swap for a van of far lesser value, or offer you book cash price for your car, and you'd have to pick a van at their sales pitch price. For instance, if your car is worth £3k privately, they'd offer you about £2200 against a van they're selling, which would only get you a van that would sell for about £1500 privately - you always lose with a dealer, they're in it to make money after all.

There is a place in Mexborough that do vans.

Its just off the traffic island near Motosave and the Economy car group, on the road to Wath.

Van centre half way down Gower street in Burngreave. Also some Vans in in the van centre up Burngreave just past Kilton Hill.
Don't know about the trade-in though.
