Has anyone used these?
I got a half price offers brochure through so I booked as we want August bank holiday week and in the past I found places get booked up. Rather stupidly I went to the holiday watchdog pages afterwards and found they had given it a bit of a slating. Can anyone who has been give a honest opinion?

Thanks. We are booked into an apartment, so fingers crossed. People on the watchdog site had complained it was dirty.
If youre going in May, are you aware of the Pontins short break offer? 3 or 4 nights for £60? There is a discount code I can find you if you are interested.
Weve booked a long weekend in April and a mon-fri break in May both were £60.

We went to Combe Martin a few years ago and stayed in the mansion house for 1 week and then went to Ilfracombe in a chalet for the second week. Combe Martin was very good in a small village setting the accomodation was very good. The chalet was very small though, only one bedroom and one small living room/diner which doubled up as a bedroom at night, not big enough for 4 adults and right at the top of a steep hill, we couldn't go down to the beach or shops without the car, but what you save on the holiday pays for the car parking fees.

We are staying at the Golden Coast one (Ilfracombe) so hopefully the steep hill wont apply. I was worried that the family studio apartment might be too small though, but as we are only two adults a 4 year old and a baby it might not matter too much.
We went to John Fowler ILFRACOMBE last May 06 and never again , you need a car as it at top of a steep hill we have 2 children aged 11+13 and they were bored!!!, there was no clubs for them and there is only 1 bar with dance floor chalet wasn't bad 3 bedrooms but had to stretch your neck to watch Tv , I would'nt recommend it.
